CHIRALFORCE UPV researcher participates in a session about the impact of Women in Science at the International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2025

The impact of women in science has been profound, transforming various disciplines and opening new avenues of knowledge.

In this session, three distinguished scientists will discuss their contributions: political scientist Paula Otero-Hermida (INGENIO-CSIC-UPV), nanotechnologist Elena Pinilla (UPV Nanophotonics Technology Center), and biologist Raquel Ortells (ICBBE). They will highlight how women have made a significant difference in science and the challenges they continue to face.

The session will be moderated by scientific communicator Isidora Fernandez. Additionally, the participation of the Association of Women Researchers and Technologists (AMIT) will help shine a light on the technological disciplines where gender bias remains prevalent.

Throughout the meeting, the participants will share their experiences and reflections on the advancements made in their respective fields of science.
